Join me for an hour of drumming designed to soothe the nervous system, focus the mind and build community. No experience is necessary, and total beginners are welcome (even those who think they have no rhythm)!
Playing drums together is a powerful way to enhance wellbeing as it fosters connection, stimulates the Vagus nerve, improves cognitive function and can even boost immunity.
We will use a simple frame drum and beater to play, as this is the most approachable method for rhythm making, and they produce a powerful, yet gentle sound. All drums will be provided, and I only use quality, vegan friendly drums.
There will be a chance to play guided rhythms and a chance for some musical meditation and creativity. Learn how drumming can help lower stress, improve cognitive function, enable emotional release and improve our lives! Research now shows us that drumming can help improve both our mental and physical health and my sessions combine ancient wisdom with modern scientific research.
