Intro to Cross Country Skiing with CYAN

Curious about cross-country skiing and not sure where to start? This beginner-friendly session is a great way to learn the basics in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

Held at the Canmore Nordic Centre, this workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals of cross-country skiing, including equipment, basic techniques, and how to move confidently on the trails. You’ll learn proper stance, balance, and simple skills to help you feel comfortable getting started.

Whether you’re brand new to skiing or looking to build confidence on snow, this is a relaxed and social way to try something new, meet other young adults, and enjoy winter in the Bow Valley.

No experience needed & rentals (skis, boots, poles) are included.

What to bring

Dress warmly and in layers! Don’t forget a hat and warm gloves and socks.
