What to expect
Facilitators from the Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley will guide participants through the basics of growing, harvesting, and using common herbs. Together, you’ll plant a small herb garden, learn simple care tips, and explore how herbs can support cooking, wellbeing, and connection to the Bow Valley. Expect a mix of short explanations, hands-on planting, and casual conversation.

This event is BYOP (Bring Your Own Pot)! Please make sure to bring a medium-sized pot that will fit in your space.
Accessibility notes
This workshop involves light physical activity such as standing, reaching, and working with soil. Strong scents from herbs may be present. If you have specific access needs, CYAN staff will be on hand to help support participation - feel free to reach out in advance. Please note, the building is not wheelchair accessible.

This workshop is hosted by the Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley in partnership with Canmore Young Adult Network (CYAN). The Biosphere Institute works to connect people with the landscapes they live in through learning, stewardship, and community-based action.
