Join us for an exciting evening aboard the Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railway Company's (ACWR) beautiful "Magenta Train", where you will dine as you ride the rails from Candor to Pinehurst, and back to Candor. Event dates include: Thursday, November 13th & Friday, November 14th. Guests will begin boarding the train each evening at 5:30pm and then depart at 6:00pm, returning to Candor at 8:00pm. A scrumptious dinner will be prepared by Street Provisions, LLC of Columbia, SC. Tickets are $125 per person and are non-refundable. Seating will be assigned. All proceeds go to the Candor Historical Society and will be used solely for the renovation of the Candor Depot. The train IS NOT ADA Accessible. Please keep in mind that there is a set of steps that will have to be climbed to get aboard the train.
Menu: 1st course - Harvest Salad: Mixed Greens, Roasted Apple & Pear, Candied Pecans, Brown Butter Dressing. 2nd Course - Chicken Marsala, Risotto, Mashed Potatoes, & Grilled Zucchini. 3rd Course - Cheesecake with Blueberry Coulis. Beverages - Tea, Coffee, & Water.
There will also be Entertainment and a Cash Bar on board for guests. (You must be 21 years old and older to purchase alcohol from the bar.)
It is our mission to restore the historic Candor Depot making it an amazing museum that will preserve our local town and county history. The Depot will also serve as a meeting and educational space for our community.
