Herbalism & Chinese Medicine practices are holistic medicine practices to restore our innate ability to understand what all the parts of us need for harmony and nourishment.

Traditional medicine systems show us proven pathways for wisely tending our own needs while also knowing when and what kind of help we need when disharmony arises.

We can reclaim our birthright to care for ourselves with the power of Food as Medicine, plants as allies, and energy work that tends the root of our disharmony, not just the symptoms.

- Learning constitutions and energetics for tailoring care
- How to nourish lung and colon health
- Tending grief

Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Herbalism systems, over the course of a year, this 5 class series will include: 
- Seasonal-specific wellness support (Autumn, Winter, Spring, Early Summer, Late Summer),
- Basic acute and First Aid care,
- Food as Medicine and recipes
- Acupressure, flower essences, and Moxabustion
- Understanding energetics and constitutions for tailoring care
- Hands-on practice for easy foraging, gardening, and use of common local herbs
- Assembling your own home Herbal Wellness supplies

Your teachers:

✨ Cara Helene - A Mama of two; motherhood was her gateway into her work as a Holistic Medicine Woman.  Everything she teaches is grounded in years of professional training (herbalism, flower essences, energy, astrology) and experience as a mother.  She knows how to distill complex concepts into something you can connect with and remember when you need it most.  In her healing and guidance practice, The Alkhemaerie, she loves helping women trust their intuition and discernment to build courageous lives rooted in Kinship with the Earth.

✨Dr. Jenn Conte - Her own healing journey lead her to become a doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.  The changes in her health from herbs and acupuncture was so profound she wanted to learn it to help others too, eventually specializing in pediatrics, gynecology, and gastroenterology.  Now, as co-owner of Sacred Lines Family Acupuncture in Asheville, she specializes in treating families looking for support outside of Western medicine.  She has a gift for connecting with kids and helping parents understand how they can holistically support the health of their family.
