Cacao for Families is a space especially for parents and children to gather in intentional community- slowing down together, sharing ritual, honoring the elements, and experiencing ceremony side by side. 

AND It is not *just* for parents and children. This is for everyone. We would love to have a variety of folks. And of course our dearest friends ?

What is new, is that this offering is designed particularly with families with children in mind. 

Children are encouraged to stay engaged in a circle space for around 1–1.5 hours, with gentle flexibility as needed. 

We deeply believe children belong in ceremonial and community spaces and are capable of participating in meaningful, grounded experiences alongside adults. And that we are ALL meant to be in community and ceremony together. 

The content of the circle will include ritual and activity designed to keep all ages engaged. 

There will be simple options available outside of the ceremony space if a child needs a break during - such as quiet coloring or calm activities indoors (if we have rain), or access to the outdoor play spaces if we are able to be outside.  Parents must remain present and responsible for supporting their children throughout the gathering, direct supervision is always required. 

Children are welcome to enjoy Cacao in whatever way feels supportive and appropriate for them:
• mixed with water  
• prepared with milk  (please bring your own if homemade oat won’t do)
• sweetened lightly with maple syrup  
• or simply enjoyed as a sip or two while still participating in the ritual and community experience 

This is not about children sitting perfectly still or performing “adult ceremony.” It is about creating an inclusive-to-them, welcoming environment where families can practice being in community/ceremony/ritual space *together*. 

We had a trial one and it was truly medicine for all involved. Children are magic. Let’s include them more ???



The flow:

4:15-4:30 arrive and settle in
4:30 opening prayer / guidelines / announcements 
4:45 introductions & intentions
5:00 element altar building together 
5:30-6:30 sharing Cacao and talking circle 
         Stay for snacks if desired 

What to bring: 
A water bottle 
Pen & journal if that’s your thing
Quiet kids activities (non-technology)
Appropriate attire for in or outside 
A snack or dinner picnic ? 

Cost & Payment: 
Sliding scale of $30-$60/person
Children 12 and under/$10
Children 2 and under free

Spaces WILL be limited to maintain intimate and manageable space
