Join us on Thursday 2 July for a social night ride to the Christmas in July Festival at the Patrick White Lawns.

The festival runs until 9:30 pm on Thursday, making it a perfect destination for a mid-winter evening ride.

Ride Details

? Meet: Alby's, Woden
? Meet from: 6:45 pm
? Depart: 7:00 pm sharp

The Route (Changes due to Kangaroo culling on Red Hill Nature Reserve)

We'll head around the western side of Federal Golf Course, then onto Gowrie Drive passing through:

Hughes Woodland
Federal Golf Club
The Parliament House trail network

The route is approximately 23 km return with around 260 m of climbing, mostly on shared paths, fire trails and easy mountain bike trails.

At the Markets

? Arrive around 7:45 pm.
☕ Food (Gallettes!), drinks (Gluhwein!), market stalls and winter festivities (probably falling snow)
? Stay for approximately one hour (7:45-8:45).

Return Ride

? Depart the markets around 8:45 pm.

We'll return via the Parliament House trails and Stirling Park trails back towards Yarralumla and then cyclepaths back to Woden.

? Expected arrival back at Alby's around 9:30 pm.

For anyone keen to continue socialising, Alby's is open until 11:00 pm.

Non-Riders Welcome

If you'd prefer not to ride, you're very welcome to meet us at the Christmas in July Festival or join us afterwards at Alby's for a drink and a chat.
