?Day 1
Following a few ice-breaker activities, students will run biology experiments, learn about plants, animals, and bacteria, and  participate in a forensics investigations.

?Day 2
Action-packed day of creative building and engineering! Students will learn physics and use this knowledge to solve puzzles and create wonderful contraptions.

?Day 3
An exciting day full of hands-on and safe chemistry experiments. Test water samples, observe bubbling reactions, color changes, and more. Students will learn to analyse basic data and draw conclusions.

❔FAQ
- What should my child bring with them?
A water bottle, nut-free snack, lunch, recess, hat, and sunscreen. Students do not need a laptop or other device.

- What is the structure of each day?
Each day usually begins with a short discussion and introduction to the day’s theme. Students then move into hands-on activities and experiments with teacher supervision. The day ends with a summary, sharing discoveries, and some free exploration time. There are three breaks: morning snack, lunch, and recess, with outdoor courtyard access when weather allows.

- Can I make an earlier or later drop-off or pick-up?
Yes. When booking, parents can extend the drop-off or pick-up window by 30 minutes for an additional fee. For urgent same-day changes, parents should contact staff directly.

- Does my child need prior experience in science?
No. The activities are designed to be accessible for beginners while still being interesting for children who already have some science experience.

- How many kids are in the class?
The camp is aimed at 10 to 20 students, with at least two staff members supporting the group.

- My child is younger or older than the 7–12 age range. Can they still attend?
Children within about three months of the recommended age range should be fine. Significantly younger children may find it harder to keep up. Older children may still enjoy the program, but the social side may be less suitable if most students are younger.

- Are the activities safe?
Yes. The camp does not use dangerous or toxic materials. Students may use scissors, glue, food colouring, vinegar, and other messy but safe materials. Teachers supervise the activities. Gloves and safety glasses may be used to teach good safety habits.

- Do you cater for special needs?
iV Learning aims to be as inclusive as possible. Families should contact the team to discuss specific needs and possible adjustments.

- Who are the teachers that run the camp?
The camp is designed and run by Dr Ivan Vinogradov, a Canberra scientist and educator. Other instructors include experienced tutors and science degree students or graduates. Staff have Working with Children and Vulnerable People registrations, and a first aid certified instructor is always present.

- Can I book just one day?
The activities are connected, so the full three-day experience is recommended. Families who cannot attend all three days should contact iV Learning to discuss a partial booking.
