Saturday 3 January | 8:00pm | Near Scrivener Dam
You are warmly invited to gather under the deeply intuitive Full Moon in Cancer: a moon of emotional renewal, inner sanctuary and soulful beginnings. This lunation arrives just as we step into the Universal 1 Year energy, the first breath of a new nine-year cycle, making this a powerful night for reset, rebirth and reclaiming your path forward.
Cancer energy is the heartbeat of home, belonging and emotional truth. It invites us to soften, to feel, to nurture our inner world and to honour the parts of ourselves we’ve neglected while tending to life’s demands. Under this Full Moon, emotions may rise like tides: not to overwhelm us, but to cleanse, clarify and clear space for what’s ready to begin.
This lunar moment asks:
What are you done carrying into the new cycle?
Where do you long to feel more held, more rooted, more YOU?
What new intention is whispering at the edges of your soul?
Instead of holding it all inside, we drum it out.
We shake loose the residue of the past nine years.
We let rhythm steady us, water soften us and community hold us as we cross the threshold into a new energetic era.
This Full Moon encourages us to release the emotional weight, expectations and stories that cannot come with us into Year 1. Cancer teaches us that beginnings are born from tenderness, from coming home to ourselves before moving toward anything new. Under her lunar glow, we honour our sensitivity, our intuition, and the quiet knowing that guides us toward our next becoming.
Bring your drum, rattle, voice or heartbeat... all instruments, all beings and all ages are welcome. Together we’ll release, replenish and reset under the gentle yet powerful wisdom of Cancer.
✨ What to bring:
– A drum, rattle or anything that makes sound (hands and hearts count too!)
– A blanket or chair, and layers (the lake can get cool at night)
– Nibbles or vino for sharing
– A clear intention for what you’re releasing
– And a seed of what you’re ready to begin
This is a free, inclusive, family-friendly event.
Come as you are (sung in Nirvana) ~ soft, fierce, tender or tired ~ you are welcome here.
Parking is limited, so please carpool if you can.
Let’s gather by the lake under the Full Moon in Cancer, and let rhythm, breath and community usher us into the powerful first steps of a brand new cycle.
