We Run CBR: Canberra Runners are proud to host the 2026 Canberra Runners' Half Marathon.

The Half Marathon will be held in late Autumn (Sunday, 17 May 2026), following the cycle path around the West Basin of Lake Burley Griffin to Scrivener Dam and return on an out and back course. The 2026 course is undulating and offers views of Australia’s national landmarks including Government House and Parliament House. You really will run Canberra!

The race starts and finishes at Lennox Gardens, which is easily accessed via public transport, bike, or car. The course begins on Northbound Flynn Drive and then Alexandrina Drive before joining the West Basin cycle path to Scrivener Dam and then returning via the cycle path and Alexandrina Drive to the Lennox Gardens cycle path and finishes. Cut off for the Half Marathon is 3hrs 30mins. 

The Canberra Runners' Half Marathon is one of Australia's most beautiful and affordable half-marathons. Early bird entry fees are $40 for members of Canberra Runners and $70 for non-members. After 31 March, entry fees will be $55 for members and $85 for non‑members.  Save $30 on the entry fee by joining Canberra Runners for the discount membership price of $68 for individuals ($32 for under-18-year-olds) and $100 for a family. To join, simply click on the registration type when you register for the race. Membership will be for a full year from the date of payment.

10 km race

Following the success of previous years' 10 km races, this year's Half Marathon will again include a 10 km race.  Because of the bridge work on Commonwealth Bridge, the race will follow the half-marathon course to Weston Park and then return. The race will start by 7.45 am on Flynn Drive, heading south. The race will be fully timed. 

Entry is $10 for members and $25 for non-members. Participants must be at least 15 years of age and be able to complete the run in less than 2 hours.  Save $15 on the entry fee by joining Canberra Runners for the discount membership price of $68 for individual adults ($32 for under 18 years) and $100 for families.  To join, simply click on the registration type when you register for the race. Membership will be for a full year, from the date of payment.

Entries close at 7 pm on Wednesday, 13 May 2026. Late entries will not be accepted.
