Canal Clean Sweep:

In Canastota, the Erie Canal is a beautiful, valuable fixture for our community. But what is with all the trash along the pathway?? Help clean up the Canal path with the Great Swamp Conservancy to make it beautiful once again for all of us to use! There is no better way to celebrate Earth Month than by showing our Earth how much we appreciate and love it!

Great community service hours! Ages 6 and up, a great activity for families.

We will meet at the N. Court St. Spur parking lot and pick up trash along the canal trail. Please let the Great Swamp Conservancy know you will be volunteering that day by emailing Z3JlYXRzd2FtcGNvbnNlcnZhbmN5IHwgZ21haWwgISBjb20=. Gloves and trash bags will be provided.
