Get your winter fishing gear ready! The 2026 Ice Fishing Derby sponsored by Maine Highlands Federal Credit Union is back as part of Somerset SnowFest! Join fellow anglers for a day of ice fishing, cash prizes, raffles, and winter fun!

$15 Adult / $5 Child (under 18)

Where: East Side Boat Launch, Lake George Regional Park
Check-in begins at 5:30 AM
Awards & raffle winners announced at 3:30 PM

Derby Rules & Prizes

• Heaviest fish wins – ties broken by length, then registration time
• All fish weighed at the boat launch must be free of ice & snow
• Must follow State of Maine ice fishing regulations
• All fish must be legally caught from Lake George

• Landlocked Salmon/Brown Trout – 1st: $150
• Trout (Rainbow/Brook) – 1st: $150 • 2nd: $100
• Smallmouth Bass – 1st: $100 • 2nd: $75
• Pickerel – 1st: $75 • 2nd: $50
• Perch (White/Yellow) – 1st: $75 • 2nd: $50

Raffle Fun Too! Additional raffle prizes include outdoor gear and prizes donated by local businesses. Raffle tickets available day of the event. (Adult registrants get at least one free ticket!)
