The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is a chance for people to join together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fund raise to fight back against all forms of cancer.

Foothills is participating in Campbell this year!

What? The annual Relay for Life of Campbell was one of the original relays in California and is still one of the most successful.

When? A traditional 24-hour walk-a-thon, from 10 AM Saturday, July 12 to 10 AM Sunday, July 13.

Where?  Campbell Community Center Track | 1 West Campbell Avenue, Campbell

There are several ways to participate - pick what's best for you!

Before Relay | Make luminaria

The Luminaria Ceremony on Saturday evening is a special opportunity to remember those lost to cancer and reflect on the journeys of those who have survived. A $10 donation is suggested for each luminaria. We will have luminaria supplies in the Fireside Room beginning June 29 after church, or you can design one online (click the TEAM box and enter United We Stride).

Donate | Help Foothills fundraise | Remember, you don't have to attend Relay to donate!

You can donate on the American Cancer Society’s Relay website. Click DONATE (up at the top), type United We Stride in the search box, then click the United We Stride team box, indicate how much you'd like to donate, and complete the credit card or PayPal info.

Or you can write a check to the American Cancer Society and put it in the offering plate on Sunday or give it to Sandy Ruggles or Richard Moll. Check amounts will be counted in our United We Stride donation total.

Want to stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Los Altos?

We are so pleased that the Courtyard Marriott in Los Altos is again offering a promotion for a weekend stay. However, the offer has changed:  those who donate $200 or more via our United We Stride team will receive a free 1-night weekend stay (any Friday, Saturday or Sunday night). You can pick a date on any weekend through January 15, 2026, just remember to give them two weeks’ notice. We’ll have more details in the July Footnotes. We’ll organize carpools to attend the Survivors and Caregivers Celebration at 10 AM on Saturday as well as the evening luminaria lighting. 

Registration is required, but no donation is necessary. Here’s the link to join our United We Stride team.

Are you a survivor? Register to join our United We Stride team by June 27 (no donation necessary), and you can order a free survivor t-shirt. If you miss the deadline they may run out of shirts, or your shirt may not arrive before Relay.
