- **Event Description**: Welcome to the wonderful world of birds and woodcarving! Over the course of this 7 week class, students will learn the basics of using rotary carving tools safely while creating their very own Scarlet Macaw wall hanging. 

After carving and sanding, participants will use acrylic paints to finish this vibrant and beautiful work of art.   All carving and painting techniques will be taught in a step by step style. 

As class size is limited to just 4 students, there will be lots of opportunities to engage with the instructor and get any help they may need.   

All materials supplied and students will keep their finished project.   A fantastic introduction to woodcarving for kids aged 11-18, as rotary tools are a great entry point into the world of making things out of wood in an affordable way with little safety risk. 

No previous woodworking or painting experience required.
