Our New Handgun Owner Basics Class is designed for everyday people who bought a handgun but still don’t feel confident using it or know how to maintain it. This hands on, beginner friendly session walks you step by step through understanding your firearm and learning to handle it safely and confidently.

In this 3 hour course, you’ll learn:

Firearm Knowledge & Handling

• Parts and components of your handgun
• How your firearm functions
• How to load and unload safely
• Firearm safety rules you must know

Skill Building

• Proper stance, grip, and aim
• How to field strip and clean your firearm
• How to reassemble it correctly
• Tips to keep your gun running reliably

Dry Fire & At Home Practice

• Practice dry firing your own handgun
• Laser assisted drills to correct trigger pull
• How to continue practicing at home safely

What to Bring

• Your firearm (unloaded) and in a case for travel
• One magazine
• Leave all live ammunition at home
