Southern Prep’s Basketball Clinic is designed to develop athletes through fundamental skill-building and teamwork. Our focus is on fostering a strong work ethic, improving individual abilities, and encouraging sportsmanship both on and off the court. Athletes will sharpen their offensive and defensive skills through structured drills, competitive exercises, and a 3v3 Jamboree.

Skills Developed
-Offensive Skills: Dribbling, passing, shooting fundamentals
-Defensive Techniques: Close-outs, defensive stance, slides
-Rebounding: Box-out techniques for offensive and defensive boards
-Teamwork & Competition: Timed team drills with scoring to encourage camaraderie
-Individual Coaching: Personalized feedback to refine technique
-Sportsmanship & Leadership: Encouraging a positive attitude and dedication to improvement

Important Information
-Attire: Proper basketball clothing required (no jeans, buttons, zippers, or jewelry of any kind). Each athlete will be given a commemorative t-shirt.
-Footwear: Basketball shoes recommended for safety and performance
-Hydration: Bottled water and sports drinks available throughout the day
-Lunch: Provided for all athletes
-Awards: Recognizing 3v3 Jamboree winners, Defensive Player, Offensive Player, MVP, and Coach’s Choice

Schedule
Please note the schedule is subject to change. All times are in Central Standard Time. 
8:00 AM – Gym opens for registration (day-of registration allowed)
9:00 AM – Stretch & warm-up
9:15 AM – Dribbling drills
9:45 AM – Offensive & defensive drills, timed team drills, rebounding drills
12:00 PM – Lunch (provided)
1:00 PM – Rebounding machine drills
2:00 PM – 3v3 Jamboree (families welcome)
4:00 PM – Awards ceremony (families welcome)
4:15 PM – Dismissal

Registration
Please complete the form on our website to register your child for the 2025 Basketball Clinic. A member of our Admissions Team will reach out within 24-48 business hours to confirm your registration and answer any questions. A $100 registration fee is required to secure your child’s spot, with a maximum of 30 spots available. Payment can be made via check, cash, or credit card.
