At Summers at Southern’s STEM & Aviation Camp, we believe that interest is the spark that ignites curiosity, and curiosity is the force that propels lifelong learners and scholars. Our mission is to foster an environment where curiosity thrives, empowering individuals to explore, discover, and grow through engaging, meaningful learning experiences. 

STEM & Aviation Camp is a co-ed camp for students entering grades 8-12 in the Fall 2025, offering both boarding and day options.

Focus Areas: Aviation, Robotics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry

Skill Development
While the camp emphasizes group learning, we also honor individual interests by offering campers the chance to choose a specialization. This allows for a personalized experience while still encouraging engagement in various activities.

Campers will meet with their specialization group twice daily during “Specialized Activity Time,” where they’ll work on a project related to their chosen focus. With guidance from an advisor, they’ll develop their own ideas and showcase their projects to parents and staff on check-out day.

Specializations available include:
Robotics – Build and program a functioning robot
Chemistry – Create a functioning, erupting volcano
Physics – Design a rollercoaster to carry a marble
Aviation – Build a launchable rocket from recyclable materials
Computer Science – Build and program a remote control car
