- **Event Description**: John Fromer, Merryspring Program Director will lead you out to the vernal pool to see and examine wood frog and spotted salamander eggs.  He will retrieve the eggs from the pool and bring them up the stone steps to the large granite block where you can use hand lenses (supplied) or see them on an iPad connected to a microscope. This is an all weather event.  Please wear good hiking shoes.  It is a short walk to the vernal pool but it can be wet and there are tree roots on the trail.  If you would like to go early or if you arrive late, here is a link to the live Google map to the vernal pool.

***Please note: The stone steps down to the vernal pool are steep and there is no hand rail. You will be able to see the pool from different angles and he will talk about the pool from the top of the stairs.
