Did you know the Romans hand-dug a 92 km canal to drain the Fens? Or that they built a luxurious four-story stone tower in the middle of a swamp at Stonea Grange?

From engineering straight highways through treacherous wetlands to mass-producing the “white gold” (salt) and fancy Nene Valley pottery, we’ll explore everything the Roman Empire brought to our doorstep.
