To register, email: About Omayra Amaya:Omayra Amaya is a celebrated modern flamenco dancer and choreographer whose work blends deep Gypsy tradition with contemporary expression. The daughter of flamenco artists Olga and Curro Amaya and grandniece of the legendary Carmen Amaya, she began performing as a child, choreographed her first role at 12, and was touring internationally by 15.A Boston Conservatory graduate, Omayra founded the Omayra Amaya Flamenco Dance Company in 1994 and launched a critically acclaimed nine-month residency at Boston Park Plaza that inspired a PBS documentary and the award-winning film Gypsy Heart.
