About the event

The Future of Neurotechnology 2025
This Cambridge Neuroworks Event will offer an in-depth exploration of the latest advancements in neurotechnology.

About this Event

Cambridge NeuroWorks is pleased to announce that registration is now open for our headline event, The Future of Neurotechnology 2025, taking place on 30 June 2025 in Cambridge.

The Future of Neurotechnology 2025 will provide a focused examination of the field’s direction through four critical perspectives: engineering, clinical research, neuroscience, and investment. These areas represent foundational pillars of our partnership with ARIA, and they will be explored in depth through a series of keynote presentations delivered by sector-leading experts.

In addition to the keynotes, the event will feature sessions highlighting research and innovation across various stages of development – these will include showcasing the emerging theses of our newly appointed Cambridge NeuroWorks Fellows. Attendees will benefit from structured networking and cross-disciplinary discussions designed to ignite collaboration and purposeful exchange between academia, industry, and investment communities.

This is an event aimed at driving insight and connection across the neurotechnology ecosystem to close the gap between domains. Whether you are already shaping the future of neurotechnology or simply eager to connect with this dynamic ecosystem, we warmly invite you to join us.

Keynote Presentations

Keynote talks will be given by leading experts shaping the field of neurotechnology:

  • (University of Oxford) is a globally recognised leader in biomedical materials and regenerative medicine. Her research has pioneered innovative approaches to nanomaterials and bioengineering that are transforming diagnostics and therapeutics, including ultrasensitive detection platforms and bio-inspired scaffolds for tissue regeneration. At the intersection of materials science, tissue engineering, and neurotechnology, her work has helped redefine possibilities for clinical translation in neuroscience.
  • (University of Oxford / formerly Medtronic) is a pioneer in neuromodulation and brain-machine interface technologies and brings multiple decades of experience in engineering science and clinical translation. Formerly Vice President of Research and Core Technology at Medtronic, he is now an MRC Programme Leader at Oxford and co-founder of Amber Therapeutics. His work bridges academia and industry, advancing closed-loop neuromodulation systems that improve outcomes for patients with neurological disorders.
  • (University College London) is a leading clinical neurologist and dementia researcher, with special expertise in the early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. Based at the UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, he runs a specialist memory clinic in the NHS and has published extensively in top-tier journals including Nature and The Lancet. His research, supported by major UK funding bodies, also explores cognitive impairment related to long Covid, for which he received a grant of over a million pounds from the National Institute for Health Research.
  • (VC Principal, SCI Ventures) is a neuroscientist, biotech entrepreneur, and venture capital investor specialising in neuro-regeneration and neurotechnology. As Principal at SCI Ventures, he oversees strategic investments in breakthrough therapies and supports portfolio companies in their growth and translation. Previously, he served as CEO and co-founder of Mable | Neurolytic Healthcare, a personalised medicine startup acquired in 2023. He holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford, where he studied the encoding and retrieval of information in the brain using neural recording techniques and machine learning.

Interactive Discussion

Following the keynote talks, there will be an opportunity for you to join interactive breakout sessions focused on specific themes. Led by discussion leaders and incorporating all attendees, each conversation will be centred on using case studies and experiences to inspire all attendees to pursue the most impactful route for you. These discussions will culminate in a plenary fireside chat.

Cambridge NeuroWorks Fellow Presentations

We will also showcase the next generation of neurotech researchers. Cambridge NeuroWorks fellows will share their emerging ideas, offering a glimpse into the future of brain health research. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, offer feedback, and spark collaborations.

Networking Reception

The day will conclude with an evening reception—an informal and friendly space to connect, exchange ideas, and explore future partnerships. Whether you're from academia, industry, clinical practice, or investment, this is your chance to meet like-minded innovators and thinkers.
