Or rather, it had plenty of them before the band took sledgehammers and scalpels to most of the pretty bits.“It took a while to get the bones of some of the tunes down just so we could break them,” bandleader James Rohr told Herald with a laugh.Local champs the Blue Ribbons are a pop band in the same way that the Beatles or Steely Dan or Television are pop bands in that they like pop but “aren’t too precious about the songs,” Rohr said.Jed Gottleib - Boston HeraldThe Blue RibbonsJake Manzi is a Los Angeles based singer/songwriter, raised in Western Massachusetts. With a subtle touch for turning up pure song-stuff out of life, channeling the likes of Marshall Crenshaw and Tom Petty, of Lucinda Williams and Bruce Springsteen, Manzi offers you his singular take on what contemporary pop-rock can be. Opening for acts like Dawes, NRBQ, Ron Sexsmith, Lori McKenna, and M. Ward and collaborating with artists like Don Was, Mikaela Davis, and Madison Cunningham, Jake Manzi is a songwriter to be reckoned with and a unique talent to be enjoyed.Jake Manzi - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/cambridge/the-blue-ribbons-and-jake-manzi/100001925658017969 - **Event Categories**: music, entertainment, pop, art - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 0 ## Ticket Details - **Ticket Price Range**: min: 17.85, max: 17.85, currency: USD ## Event venue details - **city**: Cambridge - **state**: MA - **country**: United States - **location**: Lizard Lounge - **lat**: 42.38211839999999 - **long**: -71.1193369 - **full address**: Lizard Lounge, 1667 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, United States ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: The Blue Ribbons & Jake Manzi - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events7/banners/7380473acb62938eea239fb66ed584457639df9d014565d3f93cff2849fa502f-rimg-w960-h727-dc050407-gmir.jpg?v=1762305428 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is The Blue Ribbons & Jake Manzi being held? - **A:** The Blue Ribbons & Jake Manzi takes place on Sat, 27 Dec, 2025 at 08:00 pm to Sat, 27 Dec, 2025 at 11:30 pm at Lizard Lounge, 1667 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, United States. - **Q**: Who is organizing The Blue Ribbons & Jake Manzi? - **A:** The Blue Ribbons & Jake Manzi is organized by Lizard Lounge. - **Q**: Who is this event for?
