- **Event Description**: The #GrooveCityTrekkers will host The annual Black Family 5K on Friday, November 29th at 9 am. We have participated in this national event since 2017 when the #GrooveCityTrekkers began this movement with #Girltrek so that Black women can live longer, healthier lives. 
Bring your whole family, all of your friends and the community is invited to join us with their family and friends or join us solo on Friday, November 28th. (Men and boys are welcome to join this walk as well isa family walk!) The walk will begin at Long Wharf, Cambridge, MD. The 5k Black family post Thanksgiving tradition is going on all over the Country beginning Nov. 28-30, a healthy tradition that brings together thousands of families, friends and Community across the Country.
