A creative exploration of how elements from can support you in your work helping children and young people to thrive.
Each delegate will receive a bespoke Artscaping reflective guide to accompany them during the training, and be invited to join a series of follow up work-in-progress webinars for ongoing support and learning.
Through hands-on activities, reflective practices, and collaborative dialogue, we will explore how nature can inspire deeper connection, more inclusive encounters, and strengthened relationships. 40 delegates will work in small groups with CCI artists and colleagues, receiving support in designing principles and practical steps to act upon in the following weeks.
A keynote will be delivered by Professor Carol Azumah Dennis, Professor of Education, Policy and Practice at The Open University, and a concluding plenary will gather reflections from across the day. In addition, delegates will participate in the evaluation of the event, from which findings will be shared with every participating organisation.
brings children, young people and their communities into their local landscapes through creative exploration. We use simple materials and local ecologies as a pathway for curiosity and imagination, advocating for young peopleβs voices and stories to be heard. Our community grew out of a collective of artists, educators and researchers, who were united in their desire to respond to the diminishing spaces for creativity in formal spaces of education. Our organisational structure is the foundation for our versatility, light footfall, and ability to work in deeply relational ways, amplifying innovative and experimental exemplars of best practice.
This Creative Exchange has been made possible through generous funding from the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund. The support allows us to offer each place at a heavily subsidised rate of Β£25. Please note that we do not want this to be a barrier for our partners so please let us know if you require a waiver.
