The discussion will consider the unique opportunities and challenges of creating art for clinical settings, the importance of co-production with patients and staff, and the ways in which public art can contribute to healing, identity and a sense of place within hospitals.As Signature Artist for Cambridge Children’s Hospital, Amalia Pica will share her vision for creating playful, imaginative work that brings a sense of wonder to the hospital environment. Ivan Morison and Jo Hummel will reflect on the distinct commissions they are developing for the Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital, each offering different approaches to material, place and the experience of moving through the building.
