They were most certainly written by goliards: young and impoverished clergy who travelled around Europe writing drinking songs, romantic ballads satirical songs about the Church and exhortations. Their output was extensive and mostly anonymous, and flourished throughout the 18th century; the ‘Songs from Beuern’ themselves were written in Latin, High German and Old French, between 1220 and 1250. They cover themes such as the joys and pains of love, the beauty of nature in springtime, and drinking’s guilty pleasures.Sarah Moyer, sopranoSrinivasan Raghuraman, tenorSumner Thompson, baritoneAdam Boyles, conductor - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/cambridge/mit-concert-choir-and-mit-symphony-orchestra-carmina-burana/100001999712185979 - **Event Categories**: fitness, Entertainment, Music, Concerts, Art, literary-art - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 0 - **Event Highlights**: - Duration: 2 hours - Location: Kresge Auditorium - Languages: English ## Ticket Details - **Ticket Price Range**: min: 16.74, max: 16.74, currency: USD ## Event venue details - **city**: Cambridge - **state**: MA - **country**: United States - **location**: Kresge Auditorium - **lat**: 42.3581396 - **long**: -71.095013 - **full address**: Kresge Auditorium, 48 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, United States ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: MIT Concert Choir & MIT Symphony Orchestra: Carmina Burana - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events7/banners/aef1873e89ca2df037c90314c9f9a93bdb63f1d217e006b759961b30dd7e5a9a-rimg-w1200-h800-dc181868-gmir.jpg?v=1790834474 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is MIT Concert Choir & MIT Symphony Orchestra: Carmina Burana being held? - **A:** MIT Concert Choir & MIT Symphony Orchestra: Carmina Burana takes place on Fri, 20 Nov, 2026 at 08:00 pm to Fri, 20 Nov, 2026 at 10:00 pm at Kresge Auditorium, 48 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, United States. - **Q**: Who is organizing MIT Concert Choir & MIT Symphony Orchestra: Carmina Burana? - **A:** MIT Concert Choir & MIT Symphony Orchestra: Carmina Burana is organized by MIT Music and Theater Arts. - **Q**: Who is this event for?
