- **Event Description**: We are running four community engagement sessions in July to talk about the Local Government Reform. After the 25 June Council Meeting, we will be asking the community for further feedback on Council’s preferred options for amalgamation, as we prepare to make our submission to Government by 9 August. 

We’ve arranged the following hui in July: 
Tue 7 July – Putāruru Plaza | 5-6pm 
Wed 8 July – Tīrau Memorial Hall | 5-6pm 
Mon 13 July – Online Hui (via Zoom) | 5.30-6.30pm 
Tue 14 July – South Waikato Sports and Events Centre (Tokoroa) | 5-6pm 

Please note these events are the only Council-run community engagement sessions for this topic. Each July Hui session will be facilitated by senior Council staff alongside Councillors, to help with any questions or concerns from our community. 

The online session will be formatted as a presentation of key information, with opportunities to pop your questions into the chat for staff to discuss. Please note – this session will be recorded and published on the website for future reference.
