The Minister will be in coversation with Professor Eoin O'Sullivan, Director, Centre for Science, Technology & Innovation Policy (CSTI) at the University of Cambridge.The conversation will examine the relationship between innovation policy and industrial strategy, the role of public research and innovation organisations, and how governments can create the conditions for long-term competitiveness in an increasingly geoeconomic world. The discussion will also consider what lessons Finland's experience may hold for the UK.The session will be introduced by David Halpern, Director of the Downing Battcock Institute (DBI).This event, organised by the DBI, is a rare opportunity for Cambridge students to engage directly with a serving European minister in an intimate Cambridge setting, ask questions, and gain first-hand insight into how innovation, industrial strategy, and economic policy are shaped at the highest levels of government.Venue: Senior Common Room (SCR), Downing College, Cambridge.Reservations are essential.
