A Presidential Scholar and graduate of Berklee College of Music and the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, Colón studied under Danilo Pérez and Marco Pignataro and has performed at major festivals worldwide, including Detroit, Montreal, Monterey, and the Puerto Rico Heineken Jazz Festival.His compositions and arrangements have been featured by the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center, the Detroit Jazz Festival Symphony Orchestra, and on Esperanza Spalding’s Grammy-winning album 12 Little Spells.
