Train with Javier Jeffer and Eli Pabón in the musical foundations that support our dance programs. Learn rhythms, songs, instruments, and the cultural stories behind traditions like Rumba, Congo, and Orishas. Music Team members deepen this work through additional rehearsals, coaching, performance preparation and opportunities.
Dates: 12/7, 12/14 (break for 2 week holiday break), 1/4, 1/11, 1/18, 1/25, 2/1 & 2/8
Location: Mango Dance Studio, 112 Bishop Allen Drive, Cambridge MA.
10:15 AM – Play & sing traditional Cuban music
11:15 AM – Play Batá drums & sign songs of the Orishas
12:30 PM – Cuban Music Team rehearsal (by audition & invitation)
