It is a unique NHS service in the UK, offering residential (live-in) therapy for people with complex emotional and mental health needs. Patients are encouraged to build supportive relationships with each other, as well as with staff, friends and family. The hospital is known for its “therapeutic community” approach, where everyone, patients and staff, play a part in the healing process.
