The Real Ale Classroom, 34 Rutland Street, Leicester, United Kingdom
We're a group of beer loving residents based in the Western Park area of Leicester who started a beer festival over 8 years ago to raise funds to support a new church hall. Well, the hall got built and the first festival was a great hit; therefore, we decided to carry on and support local charities within Leicestershire, and with the support of both the community and local businesses we have raised over £50k to date.
Our first official Business Networking Event is a simple affair allowing you to expand your existing network and make new business connections in a relaxed event held at the new Real Ale Classroom in Leicester city centre.
The Event ticket includes a welcome drink of your choice, a tasting beer-flight (3x thirds of a pint of differing styles) from the Real Ale Classroom, and to top it off, our good friends at Mithaas will be supplying a selection of Indian nibbles (all veggie friendly) – it’s the perfect combination!
You won’t find hard pitches, monthly fees or hard sells, just passionate people looking to help our local community through the enjoyment of quality craft beer and ciders whilst making meaningful connections with other local businesses.
Join the crew on Friday 10th May at the Real Ale Classroom located on Rutland Street by the Curve theatre from 5pm to 7pm where you'll find:
• a room of like-minded business professionals
• networking with a beer twist
• a drink of your choice from the bar
• a beer tasting session (3x thirds of a pint) from your friendly expert at The Real Ale Classroom
• a selection of Indian nibbles from Mithaas
• an opportunity to meet the charities we’re supporting this year
• a chance to sign-up and be a sponsor at this year’s festival with a reduced fee on the night
We are hoping for around 50 attendees to this event; so please be sure to book your ticket/s early to avoid disappointment and join us for a fantastic evening of beer and networking.
The third Real Ale Classroom is located in Leicester’s Cultural Quarter on the east side of the City Centre, and you can enjoy some great Real Ale, warm atmosphere and live acts.
Don’t expect a loud and brash venue, they’re just about decent people, great ale, and conversation between friends - and you can bring the dog too!
Bodie Hodges Foundation supports families through child bereavement. They are an ambitious and growing charity with a vision and are passionate about being able to offer their invaluable services to more families in need.
The core purpose is to give hope to families bereaved of a child by providing a range of services that support grieving families and encourage them to both rebuild and remember, via the Bodie’s Bereavement Service and projects.
Voluntary Action LeicesterShire (VAL) is a charity that helps people in local communities to change their lives for the better. They do this by providing services to the community sector such as training and guidance, finding funding and pairing volunteers to organisations. They also run the VALUES project to educate and empower people with learning difficulties, as well as hosting mental health cafes for the local community.
