The 23rd November will replace the usual last Sunday session, and is a Cambridge Jazz Festival special, featuring the incredible George Garford on sax, Chris Montague on guitar, Josh Walker-Martin on drums, and Chris Diamand on the bass.

Chris Montague is widely recognised for his skills as a guitarist and composer. As a founder member of Troyka, he has garnered a reputation for his distinctive approach to the guitar. Chris’ trio record Warmer Than Blood featuring Kit Downes on piano and bassist Ruth Goller was released to critical acclaim in 2020. 

George Garford is a saxophonist, composer and improviser active in the UK's intersecting contemporary jazz & improvised music scenes. Hailing from Cambridgeshire, and based in London since 2017, Garford has established himself as a prolific creative collaborator. Known for his distinct sound on the alto, Garford’s unique sensibility compliments a variety of ensembles and projects.
