Beginner Woodburning

Woodburning combines drawing and sketching skills with the ancient practice of using heat to discolor wood permanently to create lasting images. This workshop is appropriate for beginners who have never tried this fulfilling craft but want to try it before committing to the equipment and space. It is also perfect for Father's Day or team building activities. In this workshop, we will use proper woodburning techniques to burn images into two wooden coasters and seal them against water damage. We will cover important topics including:

• Wood selection
• Woodburner types and tips
• Temperature settings
• Outline vs. Shading
• Design recommendations for beginners

Materials: All tools are provided along with 2 blank solid wood coasters (4"x4")

Min. Age: 15yrs old (parent must accompany minor and sign a liability waiver)
Duration: 2 hours

Parking: Street parking or garage. Unfortunately, we don't validate parking vouchers.
