She is the 1st Place Winner of the Ravenscroft Jazz Prize, the 2nd Place Winner of the 2024 Ella Fitzgerald Jazz Vocal Competition, and a two-time recipient of Downbeat Magazine's award for Best Vocal Jazz Soloist in the community college division (2021 and 2022). Aviana has honed her voice and improvisational ear across a wide range of styles, including swing, bossa nova, bebop, modern jazz, and more. Her artistry has resonated throughout her home state of Iowa and the Boston area alike.
