"description": "The Cambridge Centre for Health Services Research (CCHSR) is a collaboration between two leading health care research groups at the Institute of Public Health at the University of Cambridge, and at RAND Europe.  With over twenty researchers from a wide variety of backgrounds, CCHSR’s objective is to inform policy through evidence-based research on health services. The groups are led by Mary Dixon-Woods, RAND Professor of Health Services Research at the University of Cambridge and Jon Sussex, Chief Economist at RAND Europe.\r\nOur aims are to inform health policy and practice by developing methods for measuring quality of care, and evaluating ways of improving the safety, effectiveness, efficiency and experience of care. For example, current research includes approaches to improve patient experience in primary care, socio-economic variation in cancer outcomes and their link to the quality of health services, and an evaluation of alternatives to face-to-face consultations in primary care.\r\nA key strength is the diversity of disciplines and skills within the Centre, with members coming from backgrounds including medicine, psychology, sociology, statistics, health services research, public health and public policy."
