Cambridge Ukrainian Language SchoolAbout the EventTo mark the 35th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence we invite Ukrainians, British friends of Ukraine and the wider Cambridge community to an Official Commemorative Gathering in the heart of Cambridge.This will be an evening of reflection, dignity, pride, gratitude and unity.We will come together to honour those who have given their lives and health defending Ukraine, and those who continue to defend their homeland against Russian aggression.It will also be an opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to the British people for their support of Ukraine, for opening their homes and providing safety to Ukrainian women and children, and for the friendship and solidarity that Ukrainians and British people have built together here in Cambridge.?? PROGRAMMEWe will begin at 18:00 on King’s Parade, in front of King’s College, with a tribute to the National Flag of Ukraine — a symbol of our resilience, freedom and hope.The commemorative gathering will continue with invited speakers addressing important issues concerning Ukraine today, its struggle for freedom and independence, and the importance of international solidarity.?
