Appalachian Folk Magick

Magic and mystery abounds in the ancient hills and hollers. Join us as we explore some of the charms, spells, and rituals that come from the Appalachian region. We will discuss what, exactly, folk magic is and isn't, the overlap of Appalahcian folk magic with Christianity, and the various Indigenous and European cultures and traditions that have influenced this region, its beliefs, and various practices. We will also be discussing the plethora of misinformation and harmful stereotypes about Appalachia.
