Often using unique places as part of his creative framework, Cole records and performs in remarkable spaces, from medieval jailhouses and Victorian clay factories to 11th-century former
priories, treating buildings as collaborators rather than backdrops. His music grounds listeners in timeless sound and emotion, inviting reflection, connection, and a sense of continuity with what endures.

His first solo offerings, including an acoustic re-imagining of Fade To Grey, catapulted him to the Top 10 in the UK Charts and to numerous sold-out shows in unique locations, including
UNESCO World Heritage Sites and Elizabethan churches. 

Hailing from a small Devonshire village that is tricky to pronounce, Cole’s extraordinarily broad musical horizons continue to expand, but his work is firmly rooted in exploring shared human experience – how words, stories and songs resonate across time.
