Learn about all of the berries that grow in central Alberta and the medicine they provide. Sample some jams, jellies and syrups, then make a berry tincture and tea blend to take home. 

$85      10 am-1 pm

Supplies, light snacks and beverages provided.

Workshop includes:

Hand-out
Instruction and demonstrations
Overview of our local berries—both wild and domestic
Safety, ethical harvesting, and foraging tips
How to prepare and use berries in basic medicines: teas (infusions/decoctions), tinctures/extracts, infused oil, and syrups
Taste a variety of jams, jellies and syrups
Make a rosehip tincture and berry tea blend (valued at $32)
Special gift (valued at $10)

Kids/Teens are welcome to sign up. Kids 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Use the code KIDS10 at checkout to receive $10 off of the kids/teen ticket (email me if you are registering more than one child).

Instructor: Delena Rose Tsang, B.Sc., B.Ed., M.Ed, Certified Herbalist

Delena has been studying natural health and herbology, making plant medicine, and making/selling her own natural body and home care products for over 15 years. Her practice is guided by her Indigenous (Metis) culture and scientific background (biology, botany, plant intelligence, and ecology). As an educator, Delena loves spending time with people on her land, in her garden, and in her kitchen.
