Choke Canyon State Park is considered the gateway to the Rio Grande Valley. Birds from North and Central America can be found in our park at this time of year. 

We will have indoor and outdoor activities: 

Live bird show
Native plant sale
Bird blind watching
Guided bird walk
Educational booths

What to bring: camera, binoculars, water 

Accessibility: Parking will be in a paved parking lot near gym, bird blind or hiking trail. Restrooms are located by activity areas. Gym, restrooms and hiking trail are wheelchair accessible. 

FREE with park entry: $5 per person / children 12 and under FREE
