The changing of seasons is always an auspicious time that is full of many spiritual blessings. Join us on March 28th, 5-7PM as we celebrate the changing seasons from sleepy winter to welcoming the expansive energy of spring! In yoga and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the
Wood Element represents the energy of spring, symbolizing growth, renewal, expansion, and birth.
Derived from a Sanskrit root meaning to call, recite, praise, or glorify, put simply, kirtan is the act of praising and glorifying some form of divinity. Kirtan is non-denominational; it is the Universal language of Spirit; the song of the Soul. It's effortless and joyful; the music does the work for you as you flow with the melody and rhythm. The ancient chants, sung primarily in Sanskrit, contain powerful renewing and transformative energy that helps us reconnect with the Divinity that resides within all of us. Singing the names of the Divine is the heart of Kirtan.
Chanting has the power to transform and uplift the soul, and to open the heart. Most chants are simple to learn, so you’ll be able to join in easily your first time. Words are provided.
“Kirtan is a means of finding our way back to the core of our Being, to our heart space, to our infinite ocean of peace within, and to our connection with the Divine.”
This event is donations based, come as you are ready to dance and sing, or donate if you can.
