Have you ever wanted to quilt? Quilting 101 is the perfect place to start. Aneda and Joanna will walk you through the basics – choosing fabric for your blocks, using a rotary cutter, ruler and mat to cut block pieces; how to sew “quilters” seams using the proper measurement. Working out of the book “You Can Quilt” by Leila Gardunia & Marlene Oddie, you will make a number of different blocks using straight sewing - plus loads of tips and techniques along the way!
If you’d like to take your quilting further you can continue with our Quilting 201 class.
PLEASE NOTE: while this is a beginning quilting, you need to know how to use your sewing machine BEFORE class. You do not need to know all the in’s and out’s, but please come to class knowing how to: turn your machine on, thread your machine and wind a bobbin. We do offer a Machine Basics class about once every other month in which we go over thread, needles, tension, bobbins, and stitch count. Please see Machine Basics class listing for dates and times.
