Countertechnique with Charles Slender
Countertechnique is a contemporary dance technique developed by Dutch choreographer Anouk van Dijk. There are currently 32 Countertechnique teachers worldwide. By continuously and sequentially directing and counter directing parts of the body through space, Countertechnique allows the moving dancer to work with an ever-changing dynamic balance. This reduces pressure on the overall body structure, and increases one’s availability to use less energy, reduce their fear of taking risks, and gain speed in changing direction. Over the course of this workshop, participants will explore and deepen their experience with Countertechnique's tools and fundamental principles.
Tues, Wed, Thurs | March 12-14 | 1-3pm
Attending for a single day is welcome!
