Berkeley-Haas Impact Investing & Social Entrepreneurship Showcase 2019
Come and join us to learn more about impact investing and how social entrepreneurs are leveraging technologies to solve some of the biggest challenges facing our environment and society today. Organized by the Haas Impact Investing Network (HIIN) and Berkeley Haas Center for Social Sector Leadership, the event features great speaker, exciting social startups, as well as networking opportunities with impact investors, social entrepreneurs, and UC Berkeley students who are passionate about supporting and scaling social ventures.
The HIIN is a highly selective student-run program in partnership with Better Ventures, an Oakland-based early-stage venture firm that provides funding and support to high-growth startups solving the world’s key challenges. Better Ventures provide training and mentorship to HIIN student venture teams as they go through the process of developing an investment thesis, sourcing startups, and conducting due diligence. This year's HIIN focuses on 5 impact verticals - future of work, clean technology, health informatics, smart cities and food technology. Startups that are recommended by HIIN teams for investment will deliver their pitches during the event.
The event is open to the broader UC community and the Bay area community. We look forward to having you join us!
