A physical theatre and visual vernacular performance
Step into a dreamlike world where two figures — a Fisherman and a Miner — chase a flicker of light through wetlands, caves, storms, and the deep sea. What begins as play becomes a struggle: is the light meant to be kept, or shared?
Featuring striking puppetry, projection design, and the powerful expressiveness of Visual Vernacular (VV), The Light of the Deep blends physical theatre with a visual language accessible to Deaf and hearing audiences alike.
