Survival Plant Walk: Pearce Estate Park

TAKE A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE
Explore the edible, medicinal, and practical functions of Calgary plant life, and how they could aid in survival situations. Discover the abundance of plant allies that grow in our own backyards and the urban spaces we occupy. Learn about positive identification, conservation, ethical harvesting, and wilderness safety. We show plants used in first-aid, as well as what plants are used for shelters, insulation, hygiene, water filtration, medicine, fire starter, food, and more. Topics shift with what is available on site and in season.
