The annual RBC Race for the Kids is a family-friendly day that includes a 6-km run along scenic pathways overlooking the Glenmore Reservoir a pancake breakfast and a whole lot of fun. Registration includes a race T-shirt a completion medal free parking all-day access to Heritage Park and more. That’s more than $75 in value! Registrants can also choose to complete a 1.5-km circuit inside the park – this is a favourite for families with little ones.
Since 2017 the RBC Race for the Kids has raised more than $3 million in support of the increasing number of kids in our community who are accessing much-needed mental health resources. The race helped create Calgary’s first community-based mental health centre for kids The Summit: Marian & Jim Sinneave Centre for Youth Resilience which opened its doors in the spring of 2023 and funds programs like Acute at Home mental health literacy and vital research specific to youth mental health that will help kids now and for generations to come.
