Join us for a night of Fundraising and Fun for Social Enterprise Start-Up, Parish Coffee!
WHO WE ARE:
Parish Coffee is a social enterprise mobile coffee business in Calgary, AB. We’ve got a big heart for making an impact in our city through community-centred business and good coffee! Our goal is to provide training and employment opportunities for women who face barriers in our city!
WHY THE FUNDRAISER?
Our heart with starting Parish Coffee is to employ women who face employment barriers within our own city. We are working to create a healing-centred workplace that will empower women, teach them hands-on skills that are highly transferable to any workplace, and to be a stepping stone on their way to re-integrating into the workforce.
*ALL FUNDS from this event will go towards job-skills training and subsidizing the wages of the women we are seeking to hire, creating even more job opportunities!*
WHEN & WHERE:
The Fundraiser is on January 31st at 7pm at The Jesus Loves You Society: 240 15 Ave SW.
Parking:
1. Available in the lot across the street (240 17 Ave SW). Pay inside with us and it's $3.65 + GST instead of $8 in the lot.
2. Street parking
PLEASE NOTE: The facility doors must remain locked at all times. Please ring the bell and our team will be there ready to welcome you in!
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
We hope to create a night of connection with like-minded folk in our city who love coffee, small businesses, and creating a social impact! We will have snacks, live music, a silent auction, and of course, lots of Parish Coffee!
The silent auction will begin online January 16th via Bid Beacon and run until the auction is finished during the event on the 31st. All silent auction items will be present at the event so you'll get a chance to look up close!
