Want to try meditation, but don't know where to start? We get it. Our recent poll found 63 per cent of folks interested in meditation simply don't know where to begin. That's where we come in...

Changing habits, starting something new, exploring the often intimidating world of meditation, mantras and mindfulness is a lot. In this 6-week series, we will kick off your Wednesday mornings with a gentle introduction to mindfulness and intention setting, exposing you to different and accessible concepts, lessons, meditations and cultivating conversation about your experience.

Our aim: to help you cultivate rest, calm and peace for the day, week and beyond. Furthermore, we want to help you gain clarity to some of the bigger goals that drive you. We have provided a detailed outline of the series below. 

Added bonus - you'll walk away with a delicious smoothie sample by Raw by Robyn and perhaps a few other local goodies. Coffee and tea will be served. 

Who is this for?

This series is for anyone and everyone in the meditation and mindfulness realm: for the newbie without any or limited meditation experience; for the semi-seasoned practitioner who wants something fresh; and, for the lifelong meditator. The collective wisdom of the group will help everyone grow and evolve. 

When is it? 

This is a six week series starting Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Session dates: April 3, 10, 17, 24 and May 1 and 8.

The session will start on the nail at 7:15 AM and run until 8:00 AM. We encourage you to arrive at 7 AM. 

Where is it?

The series is located at The Pioneer, 117 Stephen Avenue.

Why did we create this? And who are we?

Robyn approached Morgan after hearing her speak at a local event in YYC. She wanted to create a welcoming, accessible, and fun platform to support individuals at all ages and stages of meditation / intention setting practice. After a quick brainstorm session together, these two female entrepreneurs crafted the Morning Meditation series. 

Robyn, CEO of Raw by Robyn, was exposed to intention and manifestation setting a few years ago. After working her tail off and successfully selling her foodtruck business, she realized something was amiss; she wasn't connected to her physical body. After spending some time exploring new tools and modalities, things changed...that's why she wants to help others do the same. 

Morgan, Chief Wellness Officer of Live It Active, started The Rejuvenation Retreat in 2017 after realizing the desperate need for pause, rest, calm and re-connection to the self all around her. In her full-time gig in the concrete jungle, Morgan sees and experiences the need for a series like this. Her education, training, and professional experience is in psychology, exercise physiology, workplace mental health, resilience and grit.
